What I love about you

Posted by Stephanie on 1:16 AM

Weeks 30-34

Eight months went by too quickly! We are enjoying you!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from this month!

This month we were given a farewell by our community
It was very bittersweet!

I LOVED giving you a bath at Nana's house in her kitchen sink.
You LOVED it too!

I loved seeing you with Daddy resting on Shabbat!

You are on the move!

Your brothers adore and love you very much!

I loved gathering with all your cousins so
they could see you and spend time with us!

Here's a quick clip of Moriyah in our motorhome this morning :)

Today you are 8 months and Daddy and I are celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary
There were so many changes and accomplishments this month! You are crawling all over the place, pulling up on everything and starting to cruise around! Now that you are on the go your'e not happy being contained.  Everyone wants to hold you and watch after you but no one likes to hear your screams.  They are LOUD! You have a temper and clinch your fists and tighten up when you want something you can't have or if it's taken away from you. Sissy has started teaching your bay sign language and you are catching on so quickly. So far you know how to sign for more and milk. You also clap when we sing to you which is pretty much all the time.  Our family sings the Shema from Deuteronomy 6 each morning and evening.  I noticed this month that when you are fussy, it's the ONLY thing that will calm you besides nursing.  So guess what we are always singing! Ah, I love that.  He inhabits the praises of Israel my love and you are already showing the characteristics of the meaning of your name.
We are very thankful that you've never been to a doctor.  You are very healthy.  I'm not sure how much you weigh but I think it's around 16 pounds.  What a gift and a treasure you are!

Stephanie, you look exactly like your mom. Wow! And she looks super young, too, so good for her (and you!) :-D I can't believe Moriyah is cruising already.

Scripture and Quotes

"Children are a heritage of YHWH; the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. " Psalm 127:3-4

The Scriptures teach that debt is a curse and children are blessings; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture.
